IT Innovation and Design is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma delivered in hybrid format at the Waterloo campus, with a September start. The program responds to growth in mobile devices, consumer applications, and digital technologies by developing computer professionals with skills in graphic design, content creation, user experience (UX) design, software development, marketing, and business models used to design and market competitive software applications. An optional co-op stream is available, made up of four consecutive four-month work terms. The program combines technical software-development skills with business and design knowledge, preparing graduates to design and bring new digital products to market for organizations competing in global technology markets. Coursework spans the full product cycle, from concept and user experience through to development and go-to-market strategy.
