Program details

Overview

Fraud Investigation and Risk Management is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate focused on detecting and investigating fraud to mitigate financial risk for organizations. Students learn to identify, investigate and document common types of fraud affecting Canadian businesses, examine the risks organizations face in a digital, global business landscape, and implement preventative measures. Coursework combines in-class learning with real-life case studies and scenarios across two academic terms, giving students applied exposure to fraud investigation methods and risk management practices used across industries. The program prepares graduates for roles supporting organizations in detecting fraudulent activity, conducting investigations, and building processes to reduce financial and operational risk from fraud, an area of growing importance as fraud losses increase across the Canadian business landscape.
