This Diploma of Graduate Studies (DESS) in Electrical Engineering is a 30-credit second-cycle program at ÉTS Montréal for engineers and professionals seeking advanced knowledge in electrical engineering. Students choose among three pathways: two mandatory workshops plus four or five specialized courses and a 15-credit project; two workshops plus seven or eight courses and a six-credit technical project; or nine to ten specialized courses alone. Full-time completion takes four sessions (five maximum); part-time completion takes eight sessions (ten maximum). Courses are offered during the day, evening, and in some intensive formats, with both full-time and part-time study available. Admission cycles run in Fall, Winter, and Summer. Instruction is in French. Graduates who meet program requirements may transfer completed credits toward the Master's in Electrical Engineering (M.Ing. or M.Sc.A.), making the DESS both a standalone credential and a bridge into ÉTS's graduate electrical-engineering programs.
