This postgraduate diploma, run in partnership with the Mila Quebec AI Institute, allows students to deepen their knowledge of machine-learning algorithms and their applications in artificial intelligence. The 30-credit, full-time programme is delivered through daytime courses at the Montreal campus and includes a mandatory industrial internship; full-time completion takes a minimum of two academic trimesters plus one internship trimester. Coursework combines solid conceptual foundations in machine learning with practical, project-based experience, culminating in an internship placement with an industry or research partner found through Mila's supervision process. The programme offers a transition pathway into a related master's programme. Graduates are prepared for applied machine-learning and AI roles in industry and technology-driven organizations.
