The Graduate Diploma in Management – E-Commerce (D.E.S.S. en gestion – commerce électronique) is a 30-credit, second-cycle program at HEC Montréal that takes a multidisciplinary approach to digital commerce, covering law, marketing, strategy, project management, risk management and technology. The program draws on research from the RBC Financial Group Chair in Electronic Commerce; some courses are offered fully online, while the remaining courses are delivered in person at the Côte-des-Neiges campus on a full-time or part-time basis, including day, evening and weekend formats. Applicants need a foundation in business administration or information technology gained through prior study or work experience. Graduates typically pursue roles in web strategy, competitive intelligence, content strategy, search engine optimization and community management. The diploma is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and can lead, under certain conditions, into the Master's in Management (M. Sc.) – E-Commerce at HEC Montréal.
