Admission Requirements: Four-year honours degree. From secondary school: an OSSD, an equivalent, or mature-applicant status with Grade 12 English (U) at 65% or better; Grade 12 Math (C or U) or Grade 12 Science (M or U); and four further Grade 12 U or M courses — five if the math used is at the C level — with a final average of at least 65% across the strongest six Grade 12 U or M courses. From college: a completed two-year diploma from an accredited college at 2.5 GPA overall is accepted as meeting the requirements. From university: an average of at least 65% over the last ten full-credit courses. Applicants missing the required courses are pointed to the one-year General Arts and Science program to earn Grade 12 U-level credits. English, as published on this program's own page, is at degree level: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band under 6.0, TOEFL iBT 5 with no band under 4.5, PTE Academic 58 with no band under 50, CAEL 70 with 60 per band, Duolingo 120 with no sub-score under 105, Cambridge English 176, LanguageCert Academic 70. Note that Fanshawe's college-wide English table lists this program as an exception at a higher score, so confirm the current figure with Admissions before testing. Where applicants exceed seats, selection is by preference for Ontario permanent residents, application received by 1 February, then achievement in the entry requirements and in post-secondary study — university transfer applicants are judged on an average of at least 65.0% over their last ten full-credit courses, or over all courses if they have fewer than ten. Post-admission items include Standard First Aid with Level C CPR, evidence of good health, a police record check with vulnerable sector screening, a mandatory placement assessment for the WRIT course, and a professional practice health form. Qualifying graduates of the Early Childhood Education diploma may enter at level 5 after completing bridging requirements.
