Program details

Overview

Students develop the specialised skillset needed for a career as a hearing health-care professional, including the interpersonal skills needed in patient-facing care. Training covers how to use current technology to assess appropriate hearing solutions for people who need them.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with Grade 12 English (C or U), plus Grade 11 Biology (C or U) or Grade 12 Biology (U) at 60 per cent or better; attending an information session is strongly recommended. Mature applicants aged 19 or over without an OSSD may sit the Admissions Assessment in English or science, or upgrade to earn the credits. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee a place and applicants may need higher grades. Anyone who has finished a bachelor's degree or a diploma in a health science, social science or comparable subject, at a program average of B-minus - equivalently 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 70 per cent - may be considered for advanced standing straight into semester three, arranged through the program contact named on the George Brown page. International applicants should also review the country-specific admission requirements.
