Requirements
Admission Requirements: This graduate certificate is open to domestic applicants only. Entry requires a four-year Bachelor of Science degree; a four-year degree in engineering or kinesiology is also considered. Coursework in anatomy, biomechanics and gait, human physiology and pathology, and rehabilitation sciences is preferred, and transcripts for all post-secondary study, finished or in progress, must be submitted. Selection runs through a departmental review: applicants who meet the academic bar are invited to an online written entrance exam, and the top-ranked among them are then asked for two reference letters and a program-specific video interview assessing aptitude for applied and interpersonal clinical work. Video interview results count for one admissions cycle only, so reapplicants repeat the interview. The program is highly competitive with eight seats, and the eight highest-ranked applicants are invited to take up clinical positions. Applicants with international transcripts who do not submit English proficiency results must reach the College level on the George Brown English assessment. Students arrange their own travel to the various hospitals and clinics used through the week.

Start Date:Intakes: September (Fall). In the published 2026-27 cycle, Fall 2026 classes begin 8 September 2026. Open to domestic applicants only in 2026-27.
Application Deadline:This program sets its own hard application deadline, earlier and firmer than George Brown's general cycle: applications must be submitted to ontariocolleges.ca by 1 February of each year for the September start. Eligible applicants are then invited to an online entrance exam covering biology (anatomy, physiology and pathology), biophysics and biomechanics, spatial relations, and prosthetics and orthotics knowledge, with three hours to complete it; in the most recently published cycle the exam was offered on 21 or 22 February 2026 with a noon to 1 p.m. EST login window. The top 18 ranked candidates from that exam are then invited to an online video interview, held the week of 2 March 2026 in that cycle. Because the exam follows straight on from the deadline, missing 1 February means missing the exam: the college's general practice of assessing late applications first-come, first-served while seats remain does not rescue a late application here. DOMESTIC applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca and each offer states its own acceptance deadline. This program is not open to INTERNATIONAL applicants in the 2026-27 cycle.
