Organizational Development Certificate

This 30-credit, 10-course undergraduate certificate in organizational development at HEC Montréal covers personnel management and management practices across different contexts, including unionized and intercultural workplaces. Seven required courses (21 credits) build on two foundation courses (6 credits) in core organizational development topics: workforce training, talent and career management, change-initiative support, and teamwork and collaboration. Students also learn to design programs for succession planning, workforce retention, and work-family balance, and to build change-management skills, preparing graduates for human resources roles focused on talent development, training, workplace quality of life, and succession management. Instruction is in French, delivered through a mix of in-person and hybrid formats, mainly evenings and weekends, and can be completed full-time or part-time, though the certificate is designed primarily for part-time study.
