This 30-credit, 10-course undergraduate certificate in business analysis at HEC Montréal covers the analysis, design, implementation, and deployment of information systems in support of business processes. After two foundation courses (6 credits), students can follow the regular pathway or choose one of two elective profiles – process and transformation, or ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems – which is noted on the transcript when completed. The program is linked to SAP (through HEC Montréal's ERPsim Lab and SAP University Alliance membership) and to certifications from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), and depending on prior experience, graduates can pursue roles such as IT business analyst, quality assurance analyst, functional analyst, business-process or IT consultant, or systems integrator. Instruction is in French, delivered through a mix of in-person and hybrid formats, mainly evenings and weekends. Graduates qualify for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
