This 30-credit undergraduate certificate at HEC Montréal is a personalized upgrading program for professionals seeking access to HEC Montréal's D.E.S.S. in Professional Accounting – CPA or the national CPA program. Each admitted student's individual course list is set from an upgrading list issued directly by the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA Québec), so the required courses and total credits vary by applicant rather than following a fixed curriculum. Admission requires holding a bachelor's degree in a field other than professional accounting and obtaining the CPA-issued course list before applying. Courses are delivered in French, in a mix of in-person and hybrid formats, mainly evenings and weekends. Because of immigration formalities, the program does not accept applications from international students.
