This 30-credit, 10-course undergraduate certificate in corporate finance at HEC Montréal covers accounting, financial statements, and financial institutions alongside core corporate financial management concepts: diagnosing and analyzing a company's financial situation, building financial and financing plans, negotiating with lenders, and managing financial risk. Eight required courses (24 credits) build on two foundation courses (6 credits), and the program also covers real-estate investment and financing strategies. Depending on prior experience and education, the certificate can support roles within financial institutions, brokerage firms, insurance companies, and the finance departments of large corporations. Instruction is in French, delivered through a mix of in-person and hybrid formats, mainly evenings and weekends, and can be completed full-time or part-time, though the certificate is designed primarily for part-time study.
