Overview
This is a 90-credit PhD in Administration, Information Technology specialization, offered by HEC Montreal jointly with Concordia University, McGill University and the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM), delivered full-time on campus at the Cote-des-Neiges campus in Montreal. The program is completed over four to five years across a specialization phase of up to two years and a thesis phase of two to three years, with an optional preparatory phase of up to one year. The specialization focuses on the management of information technology, supported by an internationally recognized community of professors and researchers dedicated to research and innovation in the field. Tuition is waived and competitive funding is provided for the first four years of study. Graduates are prepared primarily for academic careers, and the program is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants to the PhD in Information Technology must hold a Master of Science (MSc), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), or another graduate degree in a related field. The program requires an average that the School deems excellent across all years of university study; submitting GRE, TAGE MAGE or GMAT results is optional but recommended. An advanced level of English or French is required, demonstrated through prior schooling or by completing a recognized French test or English program at an advanced level. Admission is for the Fall term only, with applications due no later than January 5th; capacity is limited and the program is not guaranteed to all eligible applicants.
