The Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (D.E.S.S. en administration des affaires) at HEC Montréal is a 30-credit, second-cycle diploma for holders of an undergraduate degree in a field other than business or management. It introduces core business functions and current organizational challenges, including globalization, competitiveness, innovation, and technology, while building practical skills across marketing, finance, human resources, operations, information systems, management, decision sciences, accounting, and economics. Students complete 10 courses combining required and elective options (such as 7 required plus 3 elective, or 6 required plus 4 elective), allowing the course load to be tailored to individual career goals. The programme is offered full-time or part-time, in day or evening sections, delivered in hybrid format alternating weekly between online and in-person classes at the Côte-des-Neiges campus. Graduates typically move into roles such as project coordinator, consultant, assistant director, or manager.
