Overview

Delivered by Humber Polytechnic's Faculty of Health & Life Sciences at the North campus, this four-year honours degree prepares students for registration as a nurse in Ontario. The curriculum combines nursing theory with evidence-informed, ethical care practice across health-care settings, and frames students' learning around social justice and advocacy for clients and communities at local, national and international levels. Humber is described as the only English-speaking Ontario college with on-campus access to a cadaver lab for nursing students, paired with bioscience and anatomy labs, simulation labs for skills practice, and practicum placements with health-related agencies across the Greater Toronto Area. Graduates are prepared to pursue the registration examination requirements to practise as registered nurses. The program suits students pursuing a nursing career built on both academic study and hands-on clinical preparation.
