Overview

The Master's in Earth Sciences (Dual-Diploma Pathway in Geoengineering and Environment) is a 45-credit graduate program (120 ECTS) delivered jointly by INRS and a partner institution in France, leading to two degrees on completion. It develops specialized competencies in hydrogeology and surface and subsurface transfer processes, combining coursework and thesis research supervised jointly across both institutions. Students complete the equivalent of one full academic year of study and research at each of the two partner institutions, working with co-supervisors from each. The program is offered full-time only, with a fall admission cycle (a winter cycle is also available). Instruction at INRS is delivered in French; language courses are available for non-francophone students. On completion, graduates receive both an INRS master's degree and a degree from the partner institution, reflecting the program's binational structure and its focus on applied geoengineering and environmental research.
