At John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Canada, Diploma in Soins infirmiers is offered as a diploma in Nursing programme. The programme runs for 3 years. Teaching is in French. Tuition for international students is CAD 23,480 per year (CAD 3,740 per year for local students).
Nursing is John Abbott's three-year technical program preparing students to become registered nurses, delivered on the college's lakeside campus. The program page describes a learning environment that combines classroom instruction and simulation labs with clinical fieldwork placed in Montreal-area hospitals, with clinical hours increasing each year so that third-year students spend much of their time in hospital settings applying what they have learned. Graduates of the DEC can pursue a CEGEP-university bridging arrangement (DEC-BN) with McGill's Ingram School of Nursing toward a Bachelor of Nursing Integrated degree, offered in person or online, or transfer to other Canadian universities. The college also lists related continuing-education offerings for other audiences, including an accelerated two-year Nursing Intensive Program, a program for internationally educated nurses seeking Quebec licensure, and a refresher program for nurses returning to practice after time away, though the core program described here is the standard three-year DEC. The page frames nursing as a demanding, detail-oriented profession centred on patient, family, and community care, and states that graduates work across acute, chronic, and rehabilitation care settings. It suits students drawn to hands-on clinical work, compassionate patient care, and a structured, skills-intensive health science curriculum.
