Admission Requirements: KPU's own admission entry for this citation states only that the Faculty of Science's Admission Requirements apply, which consist of the university's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement; the programme adds no further academic prerequisites of its own. That institution-wide standard, set out on KPU's English Proficiency Requirements page, is met through any one route: BC English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12 or Literary Studies 12 at a minimum C+; three credits of post-secondary English at a minimum C-; or a recognised test taken within the last two years, including IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no section below 20, PTE 61, Duolingo English Test 110, CAEL 70 with no sub-score below 60, or LanguageCert Academic 70 with no sub-score below 65. Applicants must also fall into one of KPU's general categories: BC or equivalent high-school graduate, post-secondary transfer with 9 or more credits, or mature applicant aged 19 or older.

Application Deadline:KPU classifies most programs as Open Intake, meaning every applicant who meets minimum institutional requirements is admitted without ranking, while a smaller set of Limited Intake programs closes earlier.
