Offered by La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa, Canada, BA/BS in Passerelle SIA vers Baccalauréat en sciences infirmières is a bachelor's degree in Medicine & Health programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 8,279 per semester (CAD 3,124 per semester for local students).
Requirements
Minimum GPA:3.40 / 4.0
Admission Requirements: This bridging pathway into the nursing bachelor's degree is reserved for graduates of a college Practical Nursing (Soins infirmiers auxiliaires) programme; anyone without that credential must apply to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing directly. Admission requires an Ontario College Diploma in Practical Nursing with a cumulative weighted average (MPC) of at least 3.4 (78%); the diploma must be no more than three years old, or, if older, the applicant must have worked as a licensed practical nurse since graduating. The programme is highly competitive: applications are assessed from February 1, offers go out by mid-February, and when eligible applicants exceed available places, priority follows Practical Nursing grades with preference to Ontario residents. Good spoken and written English is required for classroom texts and for clinical placements, which run mainly in Ontario. Placement prerequisites include an up-to-date immunisation record, a clean vulnerable-sector police check, a properly fitted N95 mask, and a Level C CPR/AED certificate valid throughout the programme; courses completed outside Canada must be assessed by a foreign-credential evaluation service.
