Overview

The Master of Science in Management (MScMgt) at Lakehead University prepares graduates of business and related fields for professional careers in management. The program is course-based and can normally be completed within three terms of continuous full-time registration, equivalent to one year. Applicants typically hold a four-year business degree, a four-year degree in a related field, or a three-year business degree supplemented with additional coursework, and are expected to submit a GMAT or GMAT Focus Edition score (recommended minimum 500) or a GRE General Test score (recommended minimum 300). The program is based at the Thunder Bay campus with a Fall intake, building on undergraduate business education to support entry into professional management roles across sectors. Applications for the Fall 2027 intake open in October 2026.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Applicants must be graduates of a recognized university, college, or institute with evidence of scholarly achievement, normally holding a four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least second-class standing (B). For this program, applicants need a four-year business degree, a four-year degree in a related field, or a three-year business degree plus five additional full-course equivalents. A GMAT or GMAT Focus Edition score (recommended minimum 500) or a GRE General Test score (recommended minimum 300) is also required.
