Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) is a postgraduate diploma from Lakehead University for professionals building business knowledge and management skills for their next career step. Students who successfully complete it may have the option to transfer into Lakehead's MBA program. The diploma requires four courses in total: two chosen from a list covering organizational strategy and operations, and two from a list covering finance, marketing, and human resources. Courses are offered online or in person, though most offerings run in person since each course is typically taught online only once every three years. Admission requires a four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university, college, or institute, with at least second-class (B) standing based on the applicant's last 20 half-courses or equivalent. Applicants submit an official transcript, proof of degree, a current CV, and a statement of intent of up to 500 words. The program is open to domestic applicants only, with a Fall intake.
