Overview
The Master of Science in Archaeological Science provides theoretical and practical knowledge, training, and skills for applying archaeological science to investigate the human past. The program is transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary, drawing students from anthropology and cognate discipline backgrounds, and spans research areas including archaeology, archaeobotany, archaeometry, digital archaeology, archaeochemistry, bioarchaeology, classical archaeology, paleoanthropology, paleoecology, geoarchaeology, archaeoinformatics, archaeological physics, molecular archaeology, and zooarchaeology. The degree follows a thesis-based route and is offered at Lakehead University's Thunder Bay campus. As part of the application, candidates submit a one-page, single-spaced statement of research interest set in twelve-point font, alongside transcripts and references.
