Program details
Overview
The Equity, Diversity, and Human Rights program at Laurentian University traces the history of EDHR concepts and debates, and the legal system that puts them into practice, amplifying the perspectives and lived experiences of equity-deserving groups. The program draws on sociology, anthropology, gerontology, criminology, history, law, political science, and psychology, and uses collaborative, community-centred approaches and allyship to develop transformative plans of action. Students may complete the program entirely in English, entirely in French, or bilingually. The Bachelor of Arts Honours requires 120 credits and the General option requires 90 credits, completed over four years or three years of full-time study respectively. Graduates are prepared for careers in human resources, law, labour advocacy, education, policy analysis, social work, and healthcare.
