Overview

The Bachelor of Ecosystem Management is a two-year post-diploma degree at Lethbridge Polytechnic, described by the institution as the only program of its kind in Western Canada. It combines field skills with management, leadership, and policy training across two streams: Remediation and Restoration, and Fish and Wildlife Management. The program covers Years 3 and 4 of study, totaling 120 credits, and is delivered on-campus with lectures, labs, and hands-on training at the main Lethbridge Polytechnic campus. Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental remediation, ecosystem restoration, and fish and wildlife management, or for further study. Entry is open to graduates of Lethbridge Polytechnic's Environmental Assessment and Restoration or Renewable Resource Management diplomas, as well as transfer students holding a related environmental-sciences credential. The program has a single intake each September.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Graduates of the Environmental Assessment and Restoration or Renewable Resource Management diplomas from Lethbridge Polytechnic are accepted directly, with a minimum GPA of 2.00. Transfer students require a diploma in the environmental sciences or equivalent, or a related bachelor's degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.00, and are assessed on an individual basis.
