Diploma in Renewable Resource Management

The Renewable Resource Management diploma focuses on biology-based coursework combined with hands-on field experience. Over two years and 60 credits, students develop skills in telemetry, GIS mapping and environmental monitoring through wildlife tracking, habitat assessments and fisheries management activities. The programme draws on Canada's only dedicated Wildlife Analytics Lab and a collection of more than 100 full-body taxidermy mammal specimens. Students can extend their studies by one additional year to earn a dual diploma in Environmental Assessment and Restoration. Delivery is face-to-face on Lethbridge Polytechnic's main campus in Lethbridge, with a September intake. The programme is open to both domestic and international students, and applicants are expected to have basic computer literacy, including use of the internet, email and word processing.
