Overview
Make a difference as an Educational Assistant providing support to exceptional students experiencing physical, emotional or behavioural challenges. The Educational Support program intakes are for online program delivery through Continuing Education, allowing students to complete their diploma online on a full-time or part-time basis. Program Length2 academic years (4 semesters)Fast Track - allows students to complete the two-year (4 semester), ES Diploma program in 16 months. Students will start in January and be in school for four continuous semesters: Winter, Spring/Summer, Fall and Winter. Students will be in class during the summer.

Admission Requirements: Mohawk's program page requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading or a GED also qualify), including Grade 12 English at the C or U level or equivalent; mature applicants have alternative pathways. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of: TOEFL 560 (83 internet-based), IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, Duolingo 115-120 with no band below 105, or completion of Mohawk's GAS-English for Academic Purposes (478) program; further accepted certificates are on the International Admission Requirements page. The program page also flags that some employment opportunities in the field require certain physical standards to be met as a condition of employment.
