Overview

The Mechanical Engineering Technology program is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma delivered at the Timmins campus. The first two years follow the Mechanical Engineering Technician curriculum, and the third year specializes in machine design, manufacturing methods, process control, advanced fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics and heat transfer. Students receive hands-on instruction in a manufacturing lab equipped with CNC mills, CNC lathes, a coordinate measuring machine, 3D scanners, and 3D printing technology. Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English and Grade 12 Math at the C or U level (MCT4C preferred; MAP4C accepted with a minimum grade of 60%), with Grade 12 Physics recommended. International applicants must also provide proof of a senior high school diploma and English proficiency. Graduates are prepared for advanced roles in mechanical design and manufacturing.
