The Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at Queen's University's School of Rehabilitation Therapy is a 24-month professional program preparing students to enter physical therapy practice. Graduates are equipped to provide client-centred, interprofessional physiotherapy care across the lifespan in public, private, and community settings. The program has completed the accreditation review process administered by Physiotherapy Education Accreditation Canada (PEAC) and holds Accreditation - Fully Compliant status through October 31, 2030, and is transitioning to a competency-based education (CBE) model. Approximately 65 to 70 students are admitted annually, selected on the strength of their academic record together with an assessment of personal experience and characteristics relevant to the profession.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree with a minimum second-class standing (70%+) from a recognized university, and must have completed prerequisite half-credit undergraduate courses in human anatomy, human physiology, psychology, and statistics and/or research methods, each with a minimum grade of B- (70%). Applicants must also demonstrate, through volunteer work, community service, or personal experience, a strong interest in and knowledge of the physiotherapy profession, and must submit two letters of reference, a personal submission, and complete the online CASPer test. Applications are made online through the Ontario Rehabilitation Sciences Application Service (ORPAS).
