Overview

Construction Management is a four-year, 44-month degree program focused on the management skills required in heavy, industrial and commercial, and residential construction. The first year runs eight months beginning in September, followed by three further years of six months each, starting in mid-October. The curriculum builds on a background in mathematics, science, and communications, and construction industry work experience is recommended prior to entry. Admission requires Grade 12 graduation or final-year enrolment with credits in Grade 12 English and Grade 12 Applied Math or Pre-Calculus Math, or equivalent standing as a mature student. The program is delivered at the Notre Dame Campus and prepares graduates for management positions overseeing construction projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and heavy construction sectors.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires Grade 12 graduation, or final-year enrolment, including one credit each of Grade 12 English (40S) and Grade 12 Applied Math or Pre-Calculus Math (40S). Applicants 19 or older who have been out of high school for at least a year may qualify as mature students by completing or enrolling in the same English and math credits. Applicants who completed three years of full-time secondary education in Canada, the US, or an ELR-exempt country in English meet the language requirement; others must submit an approved English language assessment. A strong background in mathematics, science, and communications is recommended, along with construction industry work experience.
