This ten-month certificate program prepares students to provide administrative support to medical professionals in healthcare settings such as hospitals and physicians' offices. It is delivered full-time at the South Winnipeg Campus with a fall intake. Coursework covers medical office administration, scheduling, records management, and medical terminology, alongside the interpersonal and organizational skills needed to support patient-facing operations. Students must complete immunization documentation, a criminal record check, and an adult and child abuse registry check, along with a Personal Health Information Act session, reflecting the clinical environments graduates work alongside. Graduates are prepared for entry-level medical assistant positions supporting administrative operations in hospitals, clinics, and physicians' offices across Manitoba's healthcare sector.
