Overview

The B.Sc. in Physics at Royal Military College of Canada is a four-year, 42-credit undergraduate programme offered in both Honours and general tracks. The curriculum covers General Physics, Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Modern Physics, Electromagnetic Waves, Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, Optics, and Computational Physics, building from foundational first-year science courses through specialized upper-year physics coursework. The programme is delivered on-campus at RMC's Kingston, Ontario campus alongside the college's mandatory military and bilingual training components. It is offered primarily to officer cadets enrolled through the Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) or the University Training Plan for Non-Commissioned Members (UTPNCM), sponsored by the Canadian Armed Forces. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics, preparing them for further study or technical roles requiring a strong grounding in classical and modern physics, including electromagnetism and quantum theory.
