Overview
This program leads to a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada, offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. It is a thesis-based, 12-credit graduate degree comprised of six graduate-level lecture courses and a thesis, normally requiring two academic years including the intervening summer (five terms) when pursued full-time in the residential programme. The department's graduate research areas span electrical engineering, including radar studies, antennas and microwave circuits, wireless communication systems, power systems and electronics, robotics, VLSI and microelectronics, and digital signal and image processing, as well as computer and software engineering, including embedded systems, computer security, human-computer interaction, and software design. The department's research programme is closely affiliated with DND research labs and collaborates with government laboratories, private companies, and other universities. All students must complete a zero-credit academic integrity course (AI500) by their first term, and the program is delivered on campus at RMC's Kingston site.
