Overview
The Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering at Royal Military College of Canada is a four-year, 48-credit undergraduate programme. The curriculum builds on core electrical engineering fundamentals and adds computer systems and cybersecurity content, including cyber defence, secure web application development, and integrated circuit design. Admission to third-year Computer Engineering is open from any second-year engineering course pattern, provided the required standing in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics is obtained. The programme is delivered on-campus at RMC's Kingston, Ontario campus, combining laboratory-based coursework with the college's mandatory military and bilingual training components. It is offered primarily to officer cadets enrolled through the Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP) or the University Training Plan for Non-Commissioned Members (UTPNCM), sponsored by the Canadian Armed Forces. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited for professional engineering licensure in Canada, prepared for roles in computer systems design, cybersecurity, and cyber defence.
