This flexible online certificate combines four core courses (Communicating with Clarity and Impact, Mindful Communication and Listening, Writing for Business: Level I, and Mastering Challenging Conversations) with two electives chosen from seven options, including Creative Problem-Solving for Innovation, Optimizing Change in Organizations, Strategic Systems Thinking, Writing for Business: Level II, and courses in climate communication. Delivered through Royal Roads' Professional and Continuing Studies division, it can be completed at your own pace, and the university recommends finishing it within two years; registering in any course within the certificate automatically registers the student in the certificate itself. Graduates aim to communicate their message effectively and confidently, handle difficult conversations with ease, and apply advanced communication techniques in organizational settings. The program is aimed at professionals such as leaders, managers, and team members, including anyone involved in organizational change, and BC residents may be eligible for the StrongerBC future skills grant, which sets program tuition at $3,500.
Application Deadline:Royal Roads University sets no single university-wide deadline: domestic and international applicants apply directly to the university through the same process, and every programme page checked shows one identical deadline for both. RRU consistently closes a programme's application exactly three calendar months before that programme's own intake start date — a September 2027 intake typically closes 7 June 2027 — though a few programmes (the Master of Global Management, for example) use a six-month lead instead. Each programme lists its own upcoming intakes, running from 2026 into 2028 depending on the programme, and RRU says it may still accept a late application if space and processing time remain, but it publishes no separate international deadline and no institution-wide equal-consideration or rolling policy. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
