A two-year transdisciplinary master's that combines environmental science, management and sustainability to address problems ranging from climate pollution and biodiversity loss to reconciliation and community innovation. Delivery is blended, with mostly online courses punctuated by on-campus residencies. Students study the interrelationships between human, social and ecological systems alongside core management concepts, building strategic decision-making and teamwork skills. The MSc shares a course base with the MA in Environment and Management but is distinguished by its science electives, which include environmental analysis and remedial technologies, the science and impacts of climate change, toxicology and risk assessment, ecosystem science and management, and global environmental systems and processes. With approval from the program head and school director, an elective may be substituted from another university to close a specific knowledge gap.
