The Certificate in Sports Business complements the various majors within the Bachelor of Commerce program at Saint Mary's University, weaving together elements from sport, business, wellness, and fields such as history, psychology, and sociology. Students complete six required courses: The Business of Sports, Health, Wellness and Sport in Society, Sports Economics, Data Analytics in Sports, Sports Marketing, and Human Resources in Sports. The certificate is completed concurrently with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is open to both new and current BComm students. Prospective students indicate their intention to pursue the certificate when applying to the Bachelor of Commerce program, while students already enrolled in the BComm program apply directly to add the certificate to their studies, drawing on faculty from across business and the social sciences to examine the sports industry.
