The Digital Media Production certificate is a one-year, full-time program at SAIT delivered in-person at Main Campus. The curriculum builds fundamental production skills including camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and post-production editing, using industry-standard software alongside real-world project experience. Instruction blends studio-based, hands-on production work with collaborative project work, with significant time spent in production studios and editing suites working directly with professional equipment. Students build a portfolio of creative work across camera, audio, and editing disciplines over the course of the program. The program accepts international applicants but is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). On completion, graduates receive a SAIT Digital Media Production certificate. Graduates leave the program with a body of creative work across camera, audio, and editing disciplines, supporting entry into freelance or production-crew roles in the media industry.
