The Network Systems Specialist certificate is a 16-week, in-person program at SAIT's Main Campus within the School for Advanced Digital Technology. It builds expertise in computer network design, maintenance, and support, incorporating Cisco Networking Academy coursework and a capstone project in which students build and manage a network to solve a practical problem. Prior knowledge of computer operating systems, cloud technologies, or networking, gained through education, industry experience, certifications, or online tutorials, is recommended before starting the program, since the certificate builds on that foundation rather than introducing networking concepts from a beginner level. Graduates are prepared to pursue Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification and to work in network support and administration roles. The program accepts international applicants but is not eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit.
