Cert in Leadership for Safety Professionals

This applied certificate comprises eight courses (240 hours) that build leadership capacity from a workplace safety, administration, and site management perspective. Coursework covers communication, evaluating workplace hazards, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, fostering a safe workplace culture, and leadership skills. The program is open access: students do not apply or have admission requirements assessed, and instead register for individual courses part time, completing them toward the certificate at their own pace. Delivery is online or by distance, with start dates varying by course rather than a fixed cohort intake. Students who also complete the six-course Leadership Skills certificate become eligible for a dual credential. The program suits safety officers, supervisors, and site managers who want to strengthen the leadership side of their safety responsibilities.
