Media Production is a two-year diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic offered at the Saskatoon campus, running 69 to 71 weeks depending on intake, with a September start. The program covers pre-production, production and post-production across the full media workflow. Year one covers graphics formatting and editing, visual design, audio recording and production, scriptwriting, video acquisition and editing, lighting techniques, and web authoring. Year two covers audio and video post-production, multi-camera video production, producing and project management, live audio production, portrait and product photography, and motion graphics. Students gain hands-on access to production studios and equipment, culminating in capstone projects spanning dramatic, corporate and documentary work, plus a final work experience or client-directed project. Admission follows Saskatchewan Polytechnic's First Qualified/First Admitted process, with applications opening September 1 each year. Graduates may transfer credit into the Bachelor of Applied Management degree at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
