Program details

Overview

Multiple field placements run alongside classroom learning, giving students hands-on experience that carries into the profession once they graduate. Completing the diploma makes graduates eligible to register with the College of Early Childhood Educators and use the title Registered Early Childhood Educator, and the program is one of relatively few in Ontario to include training in approaches from The Hanen Centre, which support children's social, language and literacy development.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English (ENG4C), or mature-student status; missing qualifications can be obtained free through Academic Upgrading. Applicants educated outside Canada or in a non-English language of instruction must also meet Sault's international admission requirements.

Application Details

Start Date: January 2027 and September 2027
