Overview

Training makes use of the college's MILO Range system for tactical, firearms and use-of-force instruction within a dedicated simulation lab, working through more than 800 realistic scenarios that respond to voice commands and use-of-force tools, supported by small class sizes. Students can combine this diploma with the Protection, Security and Investigation diploma and a university degree from Lake Superior State University or Algoma University through the college's degree partnerships.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English (ENG4C), or mature-student status; missing prerequisites can be completed free through Academic Upgrading. Applicants educated outside Canada or whose studies were in a non-English language must also meet Sault's international admission requirements.

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for programmes starting in September 2027, the application system opens on 26 September 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which qualified applications are assessed first-come, first-served until seats are full; Sault College publishes no equal-consideration date of its own, and neither OCAS nor the college states a separate date for the January 2027 intake. International applicants apply directly to Sault College rather than through ontariocolleges.ca; the college states only that applications are reviewed within five business days of submission and publishes no fixed opening or closing date for international admission. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
