Trades - Apprenticeship in Utility Arborist

The Utility Arborist apprenticeship at Sault College is offered in two levels: a twelve-week basic session for Level One and a twelve-week advanced session for Level Two. Both sessions are delivered on campus at the Sault Ste. Marie campus and begin in January, with Level One and Level Two intakes alternating from year to year rather than running every year. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, students earn a Certificate of Apprenticeship and become eligible to challenge the trade's examination for Certification of Qualification. As with Sault College's other trades programs, this in-school training is open only to individuals already registered as Utility Arborist apprentices with Ontario's Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, who complete these sessions while working with a sponsoring employer in the trade.
