Overview
Co-op stream of the three-year Computer Systems Technology advanced diploma, adding a typically paid full-time co-op work term between academic semesters to hands-on training in networking, system administration, security, network design and enterprise management developed with Cisco, IBM and Microsoft. Students maintain co-op eligibility, pay additional fees and drive their own placement search with workshop and coaching support, with the option to transfer to the non-co-op stream at any time.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or assessment as a mature applicant (19 by the first day of classes, which waives the OSSD but not the program's subject prerequisites). Subject prerequisites: English at Grade 12 C or U level, or an equivalent course; mathematics: Grade 12 C or U, or Grade 11 U or M, or equivalent course. Canadian citizens and permanent residents may satisfy the English and Mathematics prerequisite(s) by passing Seneca's pre-admission test instead of holding the course, and applicants short of the academic subject requirements can pursue Seneca's recommended upgrading. All international applicants must meet Seneca's published English-language requirements; neither this program's page nor Seneca's general English-proficiency page states a specific test score for this program, and international applicants may be asked for additional documents or assessments on request.
