Overview
Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology is a 78-week diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, delivered on campus at the Saskatoon campus over two 39-week years. Students take a conceptual design through mechanical engineering analysis to a working prototype, and learn manufacturing using automation and robotic equipment. The program begins each August. Graduates are prepared for technologist roles in product design, manufacturing, and automation. Admission requires Grade 12 with a minimum of 65% in Pre-Calculus 30 and 70% in Physics 30, along with Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English Language Requirement. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may qualify through ACCUPLACER testing with minimum scores of 250 in Arithmetic, 240 in Advanced Algebra, 256 in Quantitative Reasoning, 250 in Reading, and 245 in Writing.
