Trades - Apprenticeship in Industrial Mechanic Millwright

Industrial Mechanic Millwright is an apprenticeship training programme at Sheridan College for students employed and sponsored in the trade who are registered as apprentices with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. In-school training runs across three levels and is offered through block release (full-time) or day release (part-time) scheduling, alongside on-the-job training in the workplace. Level 1 covers drawings and schematics, workshop practice, machine technology, workshop technology, electrical and electronic controls, welding and fabrication, and rigging and hoisting. Level 2 continues with drawings and schematics, workshop practice, power transmission, machine technology, electrical and electronic controls, and welding and fabrication. Level 3 covers workshop practice, machine technology, electrical and electronic controls, welding and fabrication, and fluid power, pneumatics and hydraulics. Training takes place in Sheridan's dedicated apprenticeship facilities, using equipment matching what apprentices use in the workplace, under the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology.
