Overview
Business and Communication is a joint major offered by the Beedie School of Business and the School of Communication in SFU's Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology. Students combine core business study with communication theory and practice, and on graduation choose either a Bachelor of Arts from Communication, Art and Technology or a Bachelor of Business Administration from Beedie. The programme requires a total of 120 units, including at least seven upper-division CMNS courses (a minimum of 28 upper-division units), with at least two-thirds of the programme's total upper-division units completed at SFU. Entry to the joint major is by Internal Transfer after a student has completed at least 24 units (at least 12 at SFU) and met the course prerequisites for both the Business and Communication components with a minimum C- grade in each.
