BA/BS in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and Computing Science

The Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and Computing Science joint major is a Bachelor of Science jointly offered by the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Science at Simon Fraser University, administered through the School of Computing Science in partnership with the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. It is designed for students who want to explore the connections between computing and molecular biology and biochemistry, and between computation and the health sciences, combining coursework from both disciplines' lower- and upper-division requirements together with SFU's university-wide writing, quantitative, and breadth requirements. Co-operative education and work-experience options are available alongside the academic programme, and students must complete the university's residency requirement by taking at least half of their programme units at Simon Fraser University.
