Medieval and Renaissance Studies Certificate

Admission Requirements: Admission to Simon Fraser University follows the university's normal undergraduate requirements, and entry to this certificate additionally needs approval from the Department of Global Humanities advisor. Once admitted, students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0, calculated on all courses applied toward the certificate that were completed at SFU, and complete a minimum of 30 units: at least three of the core courses (HIST 220, HUM 105, HUM 211, HUM 219, or HUM 275/HIST 275), two of the advanced courses (HIST 402, HUM 305, HUM 311, HUM 312W, HUM 340, HUM 347, HUM 349/HIST 349, or HUM 460/HIST 460), and 13 further elective units. Up to 15 units of relevant transfer credit may be applied, and units counted here cannot also be applied to another SFU certificate or diploma. No English-language test score, interview or portfolio is published for this certificate.
