Overview
The Certificate in Ancient Studies - Classical Studies at Université Laval explores the Greco-Roman world through history, literature and classical languages. The 30-credit programme is designed for full-time completion in about one year, part-time study is possible, and up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized. Some courses are offered at a distance, with hybrid and comodal options also available. Admission is open to Quebec DEC holders, to applicants from the rest of Canada with a secondary diploma plus one year of university study, and to international applicants with 13 years of pre-university education, 12 years plus one year of higher education, or an equivalent credential such as a French baccalauréat or Belgian secondary certificate. Non-francophone applicants must meet the university's French-language requirement. The certificate admits students in the Fall term only.
